LOVE LOVE LOVE.

I'm making slow progress on my hexi stars - but I sent a couple of the pieces with a girlfriend to a quilt store this past week. She found the most perfect pink for the outer part of the star. Now I know I can at least finish the first one and then get a feel for what I want to do next.

How are your hexi quilts coming?

I started to make these to give some variety to my hexi making.

Fun huh? I may even make some apple core pieces just for funzies!

My Layout.

I started trying to lay out my hexagon and realized that I will need a crap load more fabric for the outer parts of the star. I hadn't planned on this. So, now the question is to buy another jelly roll or to go with something that is pink or a close color.

Thoughts?

This is What I Want To Do

This is what I plan to do with my hexagons.  I love the water colour look of this quilt!  I'm not sure if mine will be as pretty as this one, but I'm going to try.

My Hex Plan.

With my valentines fabric I plan to make big stars with my hexagons. I'm going to start putting one together this weekend. I know things aren't lined up in this image (using word for this was a PITA) - but it gives me my road map for what I want to do. I think I want large stars and then a solid between.

What do others have planned?

Group Goal?

I'm wondering if we should set a little group goal. What if we say post progress on ANY hexagon work by June 24th? That will give us a bit of time after the swap is over and we can start to settle into whatever hex current project we have going. Anyone care to join me?
